So I am very careful when choosing a product is suitable for my skin.
So Far I only like the facial products from Japan /yay
Japanese have the the normal skin like Asian, thus their products are super duper suitable for Asian to use, especially those who have sensitive skin.
So this might be one of the longest post you've ever read in my blog :D
Welcome , JuJu Aquamoist from Japan!
Aquamoist is also a very competitive brand against HadaLabo.
Both are famous for their Hyarulonic Acid elements in each product.
The argument between which one is better had been going on for ages.
So I decide to try myself. :)

Facial Foam Cleanser
Compared to Hada Labo Foam Cleanser
The green pump was the only foam cleanser back then but after a while HadaLabo decided to come out with the foam cleanser that fits with it's Moisturizing Series.
Aquamoist's volume it's a little bit more than both of the cleansers. All three does not leaves any itchiness and tight feeling on the skin after using, however according to research details, HadaLabo contains Hydroxy Acid that can make your skin sensitive to sunlight. It's a bit hassle to apply sunscreen even though you are not going out.
(According to beautician, florescence light gives out UV too, if house it's ok, but be sure to wear Sunscreen if you're going to a Mall without makeup too)
I only did half of my tired looking face :')
I will still prefer Aquamoist better, because it's much refreshing compare to HadaLabo.

Aquamoist Lotion
Compared with Hada Labo SHA Lotion
I am using Hada Labo for quite sometimes and I tried my hands on Aquamoist finally.
From the packaging it looks different because the Aquamoist I have it's the better hydrating lotion than the default one.
One fact that is very obvious between these two is :
Aquamoist's lotion is very liquify ; HadaLabo is very concentrated, serum-like-liquid.
I have to use few drops from Aquamoist to cover my face ; I only have to use one drop from HadaLabo to cover my face.
Aquamoist is very easy to be absorb into the skin thus it dries faster ; HadaLabo is thicker, absorbed slow and have the sticky feeling after apply.
HadaLabo had a winning point ahead of Aquamoist because HadaLabo's Lotion contains SHA, Super Hyrulonic Acid which penetrates our skin deeper giving our skin x2 the moisture that can last all the long.
For impatient people you can definitely go for Aquamoist because it dry faster and feel much more refreshing.
If you are perfectionist and money saver, HadaLabo is a better choice because you only need 1-2 drops and have better benefits, but you will not feel refreshing because it acts like a serum, quite thick and hard to absorb.

Aquamoist Hyaluronic Acid Essences - Serum
Compared with HadaLabo SHA Essences - Serum
Upon look, I am already liking Aquamoist because it feels classy and it's strudy feeling because of the glass bottle. (I dropped it and no bottle is harm during the process of blogging XD)
The differences between this 2 is the texture.
Aquamoist have a clear gel like texture ; HadaLabo have a very cloudy, milky sticky texture.
Just like the lotion , Aquamoist is very refreshing and absorb instantly after a few pats ; HadaLabo stay stills for a minute before it's fully absorb and leaves a very sticky feeling on your face.
Apparently 100% hyaluronic acid essence are proven to be better than SHA in a way, because the 100% hyluronic acid in Aquamoist are mixed with higher % of water compare to HadaLabo.
Water can be absorb faster than thick serum.
In a way, Aquamoist is better than HadaLabo on the essences range product.
But take note that Serum must be use after Toner , before anything else, because it will make your skin feel dry and itchy if apply directly on skin without toner or lotion.
Rub the essences on your palm to warm it up and pat directly on your face can boost up the absorption as well.
Aquamoist Moisturizing Cream
Compared with HadaLabo Moisturizing Cream
I seriously do not know whether they are from the same main company or not...
THEY ARE SO FREAKING ALIKE other than packaging , contents are almost the same too.
THEY ARE SO FREAKING ALIKE other than packaging , contents are almost the same too.
The moisturizing effect is so FREAKING GOOD!
I am not a fan of moisturizing cream until I met Garnier Moisturizing Gel
I've been switching from Garnier AquaDefense and Moisture Rescue from time to time because AquaDefense are always out of stock.
The texture is cooling gel, very suitable for oily skin. Normal moisturizer are white super thick cream , just like body lotion. Sticky and made my skin hard to breath.
So basically I've tried out HadaLabo's Moisture Cream, it's lighter than usual moisturizing cream, but not as light as Garnier, I actually don't care much about the contents about SHA in HadaLabo because I am very carefree person I hate feeling un-refreshing because I constantly feeling very perky and hot all the day long. So I ditch HadaLabo and joined with Garnier.
UNTIL Cheryn showed up with Aquamoist and I tried it.
YES, GOODBYE GARNIER!
Aquamoist is so light , not oily, just a little bit sticky(effects from Hyaluronic Acid), absorb fast and super cooling.
You can see from my fingers, I rubbed a little and instantly melted and absorbed in liquid form.
So Aquamoist definitely K.O HadaLabo on this round.
Some little things you should know about Aquamoist:
- With Hyaluronic Acid in every bottle
- Low acidity
- Fragrance free
- Color free
- Mineral Oil free
- animal ingredients free
I have to agree that Aquamoist it's a bit expensive compare to HadaLabo, but I am very much willing to pay for the Essence and Moisture Cream . As it is the 2 more important things you need to keep your skin hydrate.
You can always but cheaper cleanser and toner to match with it, imagine cleanser only stays on your face for 30 seconds MAX. It helps but doesn't helps as much as essences and Moisturizer does.
Essence/Serum are best use at night, especially if they contains Vitamin C or skin repair components.
Note that : The Moisture Lotion for both Aquamoist and HadaLabo are consider as toner.
Keep in mind that , Skin Care should start during your high school. It's ok to ignore Essence but Cleanser and Toner are definitely something you need.
ESPECIALLY , Sunscreen, UV tends to age our skin quickly. High School Students who expose a lot under the sun, especially Asia Country, should take more attention on Sunscreen.
A little goes a long way.
I will probably show my bare face on beauty products review only haha.
So long,
So long,
Toodles
Love,
Yuki
